“Sasha it time to wake up.” My mom said shaking me.
“I’m up, I’m up.” I said sleepily. “Mom, do I have to go to school?” I asked faking a cough.
“Yes, you do now get up.” She angrily.
My mom left my room so I could get dressed. I got out of my bed and put on a blue long sleeve shirt and black jeans. I went down stairs and grabbed a piece of toast.
“Dad?” I yelled around the corner. But I got no answer. “Mom…where’s dad?” I asked her curiously.
“He had to go to work early. Why?” She asked.
“I was just wondering if he could give me a ride to school today.” I confessed.
“Well I’m sorry honey but I guess you have to walk today.” My mom said automatically.
“Fine, I will but I’m not going to be happy about it.” I said angrily.
“I didn’t say you had to be happy about it.” My mom sassed. “By the way bundle up because it snowed yesterday.” She said, a little worried.
            “I will don’t worry.”
I grabbed my hat, gloves, boots, and coat. I opened the door and gasped at all the snow on the ground. I almost screamed out in joy because I love winter. I started to walk to school when I herd my friend Jeremy scream out my name. When I turned to meet him I saw a big black Hummer pass by us.
“Hey, Sasha. What up.” He said out of breath.
“Hey, Jer. How was your weekend?” I asked him, not really interested.
“Good. How was yours?”  He asked excited.
“The same as always, boring with a capital ‘B’.” I told him irritated.
“So what are you doing after school?” He asked blushing.
I always known that Jeremy has a crush on me, but I only like him as a friend.
“I have to do all of my homework and then I will probably have to do my chores.” I lied quickly.
“Oh, well I guess we could do something tomorrow then.” He said hurt.
“Yeah, I guess.” I said annoyed.
All of a sudden there was a big smile on Jeremy’s face, and we were at the school.
