EVERY home has a secret...and every secret has a home. Closed doors and locked windows can't always keep these secrets shut away, though. Not forever.
Neighbors talk. Some family members may whisper behind their palms at reunions, revealing things that most people wouldn't ever talk about. And of course, inebriation has let slip a thing or two that was not meant to ever be told.
The secrets of a home, however, are usually just that. A secret. It will not ever be revealed, perhaps not until the day it dies, or perhaps, not at all. Secrets are like small children, shut in behind bars and gates, padlocked inside the tiniest recesses of the human mind.
But the problem with secrets is...they get bigger and bigger and bigger, just as small children have to grow. The elbows of a secret bump into the bars, the growing feet kick at the gates. Perhaps even the voice of the secret gets louder and louder...until it breaks. At any given moment, that secret, once so small, insignificant, and hidden, will become a huge mystery that just bursts from your body.
Nothing can stay secret forever.
