He came back with the hotdogs and gave me mine. I took my time eating mine and so did he. "Thanks." I said smiling as the game was ending. It was only seven when the game ended. And the Yankees won! "No problem. I'm just glad that the Yankees one." He said and I smiled "me too." I said he took my hand again and we slowly walked to the car. "Are you getting hungry?" He asked me "A little." I said and he smiled at me "good so am I. I'm in a mood for a good old hamburger. Are you?" He asked me "that sounds good." I said and he smiled "Is the diner by the beach good?" He asked "it's the best." I said "Okay we're going there then." He said and I smiled "Alright it sounds fine with me." I said and he smiled at me. We sat at a little table outside and ate our hamburgers and shared a basket of chili cheese fries. Afterwards we walked on the beach, we now know everything about each other. He has dated three girls and it never worked out between each person for different reasons. "Have you ever had a crush on a guy?" He asked me "Nope. I have been focusing on school and then sports." I said "So you have never kissed a guy before?" He asked me "Nope." I said "Well you're not missing anything." He said "Really now?" I asked my eyes were sparkling. "Lexie, you're eyes are breath taking." He said I smiled "thanks." I said and we walked to the car he looked at the clock. "I will get you home in time. Just barely but I will." He said and I smiled "don't worry my daddy isn't a big scary guy." I said and he laughed. "I don't want to risk it." He said I smiled "Okay." I said and we pulled up to my driveway. "Lexie I had fun would you like to go out again tomorrow?" He asked me "Sure I would love to. Where to?" I asked him "there is this dance at the beach. So you gotta wear a dress, maybe borrow one from your sisters." He joked "Oh I own dresses." I said and he smiled at me. "Good-night Lexie." He said "Good-night Ethan." I said watching him leave and then I walked in where everybody was waiting for me. "So?" Momma asked me "I have a date tomorrow night at the beach for the dance." I said "Oh I'm going!" Lyndsey, Savannah, and Colleen said and I rolled my eyes. "We're doing your make up." Savannah said "Sa, I don't need my make up done." I said and she rolled her eyes. "You're hopeless Alex." She said and I rolled my eyes. "Good-night everyone." I said walking up to my room. I knew later on us older girls would sneak up to the roof and talk all about my date like we did when they would go out with their crushes and everything. Now it's my turn to be in the spot light not theirs. Sure enough I got a note slid through my door. Lex, roof top midnight. I went back to my closet to figure out what to wear tomorrow. I know I would be wearing my flip-flops because they're cute and beach material. I found my cute silver sandals with the diamond straps and then my white summery short dress with my pink leggings. I can look girly when I want to, I quit being girly at the age of eight so I think I can go back to it for tomorrow. And I'm not over doing this because Colleen wears stuff like this to the beach all the time. I climbed up on the roof at ten 'till midnight and laid down looking at the stars. Lyndsey and Savannah came at five 'till and Colleen made it at midnight and looked at me. I pulled my knees to my chest and looked at them. "I had the tingly feeling the whole time, it was amazing, he held on my hand during and after the game. We went to the diner by the beach then walked on the beach and talked a lot. We know everything about each other now. He's awesome." I said and Colleen looked at me "Lex, you are starting to like him!" She said I nodded. "Way to go Lexie!" Savannah said and Lyndsey the worry wart out of us looked at me "Be careful, Lex but good job!" She said "Lyndseyloo I know." I said and she smiled at me. "We're doing your make up." Colleen said "No your not." I said "Okay fine. One day we will." She said "Okay maybe." I said and she rolled her eyes at me. "Hopeless I tell ya!" She said and we smiled at her. "Good night." I said "good night sissy." They said and I made it to bed and fell asleep in no time and I actually dreamed of a guy for the first time. I think I do like him and I agree with Lyndsey I do need to be careful with him because I don't want to be hurt. I have seen Lyndsey, Savannah, and Colleen cry many nights over broken hearts from guys and I have been lucky from not having to deal with that. The next day seems to go by fast and it's time for us all to get ready. I beat them to the shower and got out and walked into my room and locking my door so I could get ready in private. I put on my favorite thong and bra set with the little white bow, I put on my leggings and then my dress and I curled my hair and left it down. I applied mascara, eye liner, eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. Yes I know how to do my make up I just don't like wearing it that much. I slipped my shoes on and walked down stairs. "Alexis Ann you did your make up?" Colleen said and I smiled at her "Why yes I did. All by myself." I said "you look beautiful." She said "Thank you." I said and smiled at daddy who was staring. "You have gone to the dark side."
