His blood was splattered across the floor, along with his body.
Futari's face frozen in both shock and death. His eyes popped out of
his head, in a way that was disturbing to a human's eye. He lay dead
on the floor, a beer bottle in hand. A 13 year old girl with midnight
black hair stood in front of him, disgusted. Blood covered her hands,
yet the rest of her body unphased. She wore a long black coat that
nearly touched the floor. The girl looked down at her Father, dead on
the floor of his own bedroom. She knew the game, the game of Assassin.
She knew it all too well that it was incrested into her mind. You were
born an Assassin and to be nothing else. It just so happened Futari
had been the head Assassin, the one who had survived the longest. Her
life was a game she knew.
The girl didn't shed a tear. The heavy silver gun made her hand
tremble. The girl knew that the only way this Assassin would ever die,
was by his daughter's hand. And since it was her whom had killed him,
she was now head Assassin, at only age 13.
This...had been Alice's first kill.
Alice turned around, and walked away.
6 YEARS LATER
Alice walked with her head high, her silver gun at her hip. Her blood
red lipstick painted her lips, but her all black attire made her lips
stand out even more. Heavy mascara and eyeliner lined her eyes, her
skin as fair as Snow White's. Alice's hair covered her forehead but
was flipped to the side. Her trench coat covered her black
jeans and long sleeved black top. Along with combat boots.
It was the dead of night and she walked with her hands in her pockets.
Alice made her way to the top of the highest hill in Kuki. Kuki was
the village in which she lived in.
She scoffed looking down at the town. They always looked up to her as
if she was a God. They were only afraid of her power, of her amazing
ablities.
The cold wind played at her face. Her job...was to always be on the
run. There were only a couple of friends she had made along the way of
being an Assassin. These friends were Assassins themselves. Kyoru,
Uzkani, and Hakachi were the only friends she had. Then there was
Lucas, whom wasn't exactly a friend, but basicly an enemy. She
couldn't ever read his mind anymore. Her crimson eyes sparkled with
hope when she thought of him.
Alice knew he hated her and he wanted her position, but she couldn't
help but think that there must be something he loved about her.
"You're thinking about him." Kyoru sighed.
"Hm, excellent theory. Where is your evidence?" Alice asked, not
looking back at Kyoru.
"The slight happiness in your face, the way you hold yourself...that's
all the evidence I need," Kyoru shook his head. "Please, Alice, you
need to think about how to protect yourself. He isn't a friend, he's
an enemy. Don't let your guard down and allow him in as a weakness."
"I'm the head Assassin," Alice finally turned around. "I know what I'm
doing. Lucas WAS a childhood friend you know. We knew him pretty well."
"People change..." he argued.
"Lucas can never change."
Kyoru shook his head, knowing that changing Alice's mind was
practically impossible. The only one who was able to do that was Lucas
himself. Kyoru's crimson eyes glittered as he looked up at the moon,
his light brown hair that hung over his face shone as well. He wore
the same thing Alice wore, for it was the Assassin dress code. Kyoru
looked back at Alice and nearly smiled as he watched her turn back
around to the village lights. Her midnight black hair that fell down
her back had a slight tinge of dark blue in it tonight.
Alice was beautiful, it gave Kyoru another reason to breed even more
hatred for Lucas.
Dare Lucas turn his back on her? No, his pride was obviously more
important to Lucas then her love. Then again, he's an Assassin as
well, maybe it was the way he was raised.
"You may seem like you aren't human...but you have emotions like a sex-
crazed teenager." Kyoru muttered.
Alice looked behind her shoulder at him and smirked. What was he
saying? Alice has always been beyond human. Pety things like that
couldn't bother her. Suddenly, Uzkani and Hakachi had appeared behind
Kyoru. All three men looked exactly the same. Only, their hair
appeared different colors and different styles. All had crimson
colored eyes, the eyes of a killer Assassin. Hakachi having fair white
blonde hair that was always pushed out of his face only to fall right
back down. Uzkani's hair a blood red, messy and uncaring.
Uzkani often found himself daydreaming and staring off into space. He
usually thought of America. Of his sister, Kellie. Uzkani kept to
himself, but everyone knew his purpose of becoming an Assassin; he did
it to protect his sister. Kellie had been choosen to become an
Assassin, a life she didn't want. Uzkani took her place to protect her.
Hakachi, on the other hand, was forced into the organization. You
could call him somewhat of a wimp. He knew how to fight, he was
amazing with a gun, and had talent. But he hated the life of Assassin
despite his talents. Everyone knew that he'd do anything to get out.
That is, except take his own life. He clung to his life like a human,
that was his weakness.
Then there was Kyoku. Kyoku's only goal was to protect Alice, the head
Assassin. He was more a body guard than anything, even though Alice
was more than capable of protecting herself. Kyoku and Alice had been
childhood friends. Having had grown up together, they had a speical
attachment, a bond.
"Uzkani, Hakachi, where have you been?" Alice sat on the cold grass on
the hill, taking out a cigarette.
"Lucas is in another pursuit to find you, Alice." Uzkani said
breathlessly.
"We have somewhat managed to lure him away from our current hideout."
Hakachi mumbled.
"Heh, he'll never fall for that," Alice laughed. "Lucas is rarely ever
deceived. If he truely wishes to kill me he'll find me in no time."
"We all know that you wouldn't do anything to hurt him even if he did
find us," Hakachi scoffed. "And we all know that he's your only
weakness..."
All for quiet for a moment. Kyoku put his hands to his temples and
Uzkani put his fingers to the brigde of his nose. In a blurred motion,
as quick at light, Alice pulled out her gun and pointed it to
Hakachi's head. The cold metal stung his cheek.
"I'll end your life for you, Hakachi-kun." Alice smiled innocently.
"That wouldn't be nessecary, Alice-San. My mission IS to protect you.
It wouldn't make any sense if you killed me." he stood unphased.
"Tch, that's right. Cling to your life like an insect. Value your life
and hold back...," Alice retreated. "You've always done that..."
