Do not fear the dark; fear what lurks within.

This is not a love story about a human falling in love with a vampire or a vampire trying to cope with animal blood . . . This is a story about a female who gets kidnapped and witnesses a bloody future for herself.

Jenevieve Jessnia Ann Wallachia

When I stare into his brown eyes of silver streaks, I feel nothing of love towards him. Love is not even a word that I would use to describe the way that I feel towards that man! He stole my life from me and used me up until he was through with me. He showed acts of kindness here and there, but Momma always told me not to trust something with red eyes and pointy teeth. I didn't know what she was talking about when she used to say these things, but now I thank her for the advice. I look back and laugh at my childish ways of being afriad of the dark. I shouldn't be afriad of the pitch black; I should be afriad of the monsters that paint the town red . . . But I'm not breaking that easily!

Derrick Aldan Everrett

I chuckle each time I see the girl debate with herself on whether she should slug me or not. It would do no good for her on her behalf and she knows this. I am much older and stronger than she is and in the end, it'll be her tiny hands that will be hurting - not my jaw. She's a fiesty one and I can't help but laugh each time she attempts to run away. I'm stuck in her life forever and the damn girl doesn't want to acknowledge this! Humans don't know a thing: All they know is how to throw tantrums. I do admire the fight in her, though, but she's like every other human to me. In the end, I'll finish her off and she won't see it coming!

Chalina Ashia Dakarai Buhari

Many do not understand his nature, but I am the only one closest to him who can see past his rough exterior. An African Goddess I am, and my own people have pushed me away for being a 'Devil Worshipper'. I study everything dark from blood drinkers to the denoms hidden within. When he brought her to me, I didn't know what to think, but that she was different. She needs to give him a break though, for he's only a wounded child trying to shield his feelings with bitter coldness.

Malcolm Omarian King

Vampires and werewolves don't mix well, but that's not much of a surprise since day one when vampire and werewolf were created. When he brought her to me, her scent was like no other. It wasn't sweet, bitter, nor . . . "Human" like. There was something in her blood - besides the venom - separated her from being a shifter and an average human. Whatever that may be, babe is a fine piece of ass!
