I picked up my phone and dialed Kates number.

**Hey! I was wondering when you were going to call!**
**Yeah, sorry it took so long. I was...uh busy."
I wasn't sure if I wanted her to know about Luke yet.
**Yeah whatever, now what happened with Gregory?**
**Well, I drove up to his house and saw the door cracked so I opened it, and there sat Gregory, with Lindi straddling his lap,
lips locked.**
**Oh my God! What did you say?!**
**I just slammed the door and ran back to my car. Then Gregory came out gasping for air apologizing.**
**Holy shit! Norah! What an ass!**
**Tell me about it, he's been begging for forgivness all day.**
**Are you going to give it?**
**Not a chance.**
**Good! Oh crap, I gotta go. Sam is calling me!**
**Okay, bye.**
**Bye.**

Sam and Kate had been dating since grade 7, I knew they would get married one day. The way he looked at her you could

tell how much he loved her. Gregory used to look at me that way, over summer we were together all the time, we loved each

other. Then school started, things changed. I still saw him often, but it seemed like he didn't want to be there anymore. My

heart ached when I thought of these things. I needed to forget him, easier said than done.

Now, there was Luke. Even though I only met him today, I really liked him. Something about him drew me in, like a drug I

wanted more and more of him. I missed him already, even though he only left 15 minutes ago.

I finnished my homework and bed was calling my name. So I happily obliged to it's pleads. Tomorrow was going to be a

long day, I could feel it already. For some reason though, I was excited. I think I knew that reason. That reason? Luke.

That annoying ring that everyone hates woke me up at 6:00 the next morning. I got out of bed, dragging my feet all the way

to the bathroom which felt like a mile at the time. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and all that junk, then went downstairs. I

looked out the window, but Spencer was already gone. Damn. I had to walk. Henry always left really early to pick up his

girlfriend for school. His girlfriend though, was just a stick with boobs. My whole family hated her. My Dad once unwrapped a

condom, filled it with milk then poored it out and threw it in the back seat of her car. I loved my Dad. She didn't even say it

wasn't hers. He forgave her though, just like the idiot he was.

My house was just over a mile from the school, one dreadful mile at 7 in the morning. I began my walk, putting in my

headphones and pressing play. May day Parade was the first song to play, I loved this band, so my walk was a little bit

better. I was turning the first corner when a familiar black truck turned the corner. I smiled to see the driver, Luke smiling at

me and reaching over the car pushing the passenger side door open. "Get in!" he shouted. I smiled at him and pulled

myself into the seat. "Good morning!" I grinned at him. He chuckled and said "Good morning! Now why in the world would

you be walking when its oh, I dont't know 16 degrees!" I giggled and shrugged "I had no ride!" He looked at me with raised

eyebrows "Oh really? Then why didn't you call me!" He said with a sarcastic anger in his voice. "I don't have your number!" I

said crossing my arms. "Yes you do." he said staring blankly at the road. "No, I dont!" returning the cold stare, by looking out

the window. "Yes you do, I put it in there last night." I picked up my phone and searched through the contacts, there it was

**Luke Workman<3333(::::** I giggled.

**Can i have a ride to school?**
I texted him.
**Ugh not u again. i guess so.**

I laughed. "Hey! No texting while driving!" He chuckled, "Yes mam'..." he said while slipping his phone into his pocket.

"That's more like it! Psh, last time I ride with you!" I laughed and pushed his shoulder lighttly, letting him know I was kidding.

We pulled into the parking lot which was already full of cars. We found a spot and hopped out of the car. "Thanks for the

ride." I said smiling up at him. "Anytime." He winked at me. We walked into the school, already getting curious glares from

other kids. I made it to my locker where Gregory was standing waiting for me. "Gregory leave!" I shouted through my teeth.

"Give me a chance Norah! Please!" he pleaded. "No. Leave Gregory." I said sturnly. I began opening my locker trying to

ignore Gregory's presense when I felt someone slam me into the locker. "You will be mine!" Gregory said with a frightening

look on his face. Then his mouth pressed against mine with such force that it hurt. "Gregory! Get off me!" I screamed. Then

someone pulled Gregory off me and threw him onto the floor. "She said leave!" Luke said with a clenched jaw. Gregory

scrambled off the floor and began to walk away, but not before shouting "Norah you will regret this!" I watched him walk

away, thank God for Luke. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Luke said cupping my cheek with one hand and looking down

on me with concerned eyes. "Yeah I'm fine, just a headache." I lied, my mouth was throbbing with pain. "Are you sure? I can

take you to the nurse." "No really, I'm fine. Promise." I smiled at him. He took his hand away from my cheek. "Okay... I'll see

you after first period okay? To make sure you don't need me to take you to the nurse." His eyes told me he was still very

worried. "Okay." I smiled, and watched him walk away down the hall.

Mrs.Harris, now she isn't one of my favorite teachers, I must say. Especially when she makes us do timed writing

assignments, these are the worst. She gives you 30 minutes to write as much and as discriptively about one subjet as you

can. It sucks. I had something to look forward to though, seeing Luke.

Class ended my hand, aching. Not as much as my head though. I looked to my locker, to find Luke waiting with a smile on

his face looking at me, I returned the grin. "Hey." His eyes looked less worried than before. "Hello." My smile grew. "Are you

feeling better?" He asked. "Yeah, lots." I lied. "Great! so I was wonder if maybe you wanted to skip with me... and go to my

place and watch a movie or something?" He looked nervous as he scanned my eyes for an answer. "Absolutely!" I smiled

excitement bubbled up inside me, I could see it in him as well. "Great!" He exclaimed and took my hand lead me down the

hall. This was going fast, I know. Although, I didn't mind.

We pulled up to his house, it was a huge, beautiful red brick house with flowers in the front. "Beautiful house." I said gazing

up at the white windows with small, artsy, engravings in the wood. We walked in the front door into a huge foryer with

glistening shandaliers. "Wow.." I said under my breath. "This way." He said leading me to the living room my hand in his. I

sat down on the couch while he tried to decide what movie to watch. "Hmm... How about Talladega Knights?" He asked.

"Sounds great!" I exlaimed. "Cool." He said slipping the DVD into the player. He sat down beside me and smiled. We

enjoyed the movie, it was one of my favorites. "Pst...Norah!" he whispered. "Yes?" I whispered back. "There's something

I've really been wanting to ask you for a while." He was back to normal talking volume. "Mhm?" I said getting a little nervous.

His hand cupped my face, the other he wrapped around my back. He slowly lowered his face to mine, so that our foreheads

were touching and closed his eyes. "Can I kiss you?" He whispered IĀ could feel his breathe warm against my face. I didn't

answer just pressed my mouth to his. Sparks flew. His mouth was warm, and soft. He kissed me back with such passion I

was startled. His tongue began hitting my lips. I opened them allowing him access into my mouth. Our tongues moved in

unison with each other. This could easily have been the greatest moment of my life.
