altChapter 1: My Backroud

My name is Emma. I'm currently 16. My mom died in a car accident when I was thirteen. Eventually my dad and his new wife got sick of me and didn't want me anymore so he sent me away about two years ago. I've left homes more times than I could count, none of them wanted me either. I had finally found somewhere I belong where people actually cared, the Hillmans. They treated me like royalty. I got everything I wanted when I wanted it and didn't do much for myself. I remember randomly going to the mall with Mrs. Hillman almost every week where I got coach, Gucci purses, party gowns, and a new phone once a month. I went to the best parties with the coolest people. I even had my own horse. I was happier with them you could imagine. Of course that didn't last longer then six months because my annoying older sister Abigail wanted me to leave everything I had behind to live with her. She convinced the Hillmans to agree. No way I would stay there but I didn't have much of a choice. She finally got her way. I got on a plane to New York in first class, thanks to my old family. I wondered what would happen next.
