As I sat down at our table Adam said, "I'll be right back sweet heart I have to se the men's room."
I nodded quietly, hoping that nothing would happen with Justin while he was gone.
"It'll be fine sweetheart," Adam said quietly as if reading my thoughts.
I nodded quietly again. Adam turned and walked to the men's room. I picked up the menu and tried to think of something that wouldn't be hard for me to eat, and would please Adam. About a minute later I saw a shadow fall apon the table. I looked up to see Justin standing there, and I tried my best not to look scared. "What do you want Justin?" I asked in a shaky voice.
"May I sit down?" he asked in a polite tone.
I was too afraid to say no, so instead I nodded my head yes.
"Thank you," he said as he sat down across from me.
"What do you want?" I asked again. He was less intimidating now that he was eye level with me.
"I just wanted to tell you that..." he started to say but he was cut off by Adam.
"What the fuck do you think your doing?" Adam yelled as he grabbed the back of Justin's shirt and pulled him out of the booth. I closed my eyes tightly with fear as I saw the anger in Adam's eyes.
Adam dragged Justin out of the restraunt, and started to yell at him. I couldn't hear what he was saying, and I didn't really care. I was too busy thinking about what I was going to do if Adam was still mad when he came back inside.
He promised me that he wouldn't hurt me any more. I believed him, but deep down I knew that there was always a chance.
After about 5 minutes Adam walked back inside. He came over and sat down across from me. "Are you OK?" he asked in a concerned tone.
I nodded my head quietly.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"I was just scared, but I'm OK now. Promise..." I said as I forced another smile onto my face.
"If your sure princess," he said with uncertainty in his voice.
"I am," I said as I reached across the table and put my hand on top of his.
