When we got back to Adam's place Jeff was waiting for me. "What is he doing here?" I heard Adam ask himself as we got out of the car.
"Come on Taylor it's time to go home," Jeff said through the opened car window.
I nodded my head and obediantly got in the passenger seat. As we were leaving I saw Adam give Jeff a weird look.
When we got back home Jeff told me to sit down on the couch. Again I did as I was told.
"Next week I'm sending you to a boarding school in London, England. untill then I don't wnat you hanging out with Adam. Do you understand?" he asked in a stern tone. All I could do was stare wide eyed at him.
'Are you serious?" I managed to ask. I had always wanted to go to London, but at that moment I didn't. I wanted to stay where my parent's bodies were, even if it meant living with Jeff.
"I"m very serious! Now go to your room. I have a head ache," he said as he sat down next to me on the couch and turned on another figure skating show.
Slowly I walked to my bedroom and closed the door.
For 3 days it was like this. I would stay in my bedroom and listen to my music untill Jeff needed something and then I would come out and obediantly do what he asked. Adam kept calling, but Jeff wouldn't let me answer the phone. Once he even stopped by the house while I was in my room. I heard Jeff and Adam arguing, but then Adam left.
Then one day Jeff called my out of my bedroom, and there was a girl sitting next to him on the couch. She looked about my age, and she was a major prep.
"Um...yea?" I asked as I took a step closer.
"Taylor this is Amber. I think you should go to the mall with her for a few hours," he explained. The look on his face told me that this wasn't an option.
"Sure," I said as I walked towards the front door and put my shoes on.
"Here's some money. Have fun," Jeff said as he handed me $50. I had no idea where he had gotten this money from since he didn't have a job, but I was too glad to be getting out of the house to care.
"Wait, your wearing that?" Amber asked in a disgusted tone as she stared at my outfit.
"Yep," I said as I walked out the front door. I got into the passenger seat of her car and waited for her to come out.
