The ride to the mall was silent, except for Amber's music. It took all my energy not to jump out of the car.

Once we got inside the building I was immediatly grabbed by Adam's friend, Matt. He was hugging me so hard I could barely breath. "Where the hell have you been? Adam is going crazy trying to find you!" he whispered harshly into my ear.

"I'm sorrry, Jeff wouldn't let me out of the house!" I managed to say. He was still squeezing me tightly.

"Well come on, I have to get you to him before he hurts some one!" Matt said as he grabbed my wrist lightly and started to pull me towards the exit.

"Matt I can't! If Jeff found out he'd kill me!" I said as I tried to pull my wrist back.

"Fine, I'll call his cell and have him come here." Matt said with uncertainty in his voice. He let go of my wrist and took out his cell phone.

"OK, well Amber and I are gonna go shop because if I come home empty handed Jeff will know something is up," I said as I started to walk back towards Amber.

"Wait," he said quickly. "Mike and Aaron will come with you so it will be easier to find you when Adam gets here."

Two of Matt's friends walked closer to us. One of them said, "Don't worry matt we'll take care of them." He winked at Amber and she giggled a little bit.

'Great, now I have to deal with miss priss and two gaurds...fabulous!' I thought to myself.

"I'll call you when Adam gets here," Matt said and then started dialing Adam's number.

As we were walking awayu I heard Matt talking to Adam and then I heard him running up to us.

"He wants to talk to you," he said as he handed me the phone.

"Hey," I said as I put the phone to my ear.

"I want you to come to my house with Matt," adam said sternly.

"Adam, I can't Jeff would be furious!" I tried to explain but he didn't care.

"I don't give a shit about Jeff! Just get your ass to my house," Adam yelled.

"Bye Adam," I said angrily and then hung up on him. I handed the phone back to Matt and then started to walk away like it was nothing. Matt was looking at me as if I was crazy. Amber was too busy flirting with Mike and Aaron for any of them to notice.
