The ride to my house was silent except for me telling him directions. I knew that bringing him to my house was going to be a bad thing for a few reasons. One, he would see what my home life was like, and he would have something to use against me with his friends. Also, if David (my mom's boyfriend) found out he'd kill me. However, at the moment I wasn't thinking straight.
When we finally got there he picked me up and carried me inside. After he put the ice on my ankle I quietly said, "You should leave." I knew that my mom was asleep and if I woke her up, David would be pissed.
"Why?" he asked as he sat down next to me.
"My mom's asleep, and I don't want to wake her up. Plus, I'm not supposed to have people over." I said quietly. "You really need to leave."
"I don't want to leave you alone," he said. "I saw you crying earlier and..."
I cut him off by saying, "Look I’m not commit suicide or some shit like that. You just really have to leave!"
"What the fuck is going on out there?" I heard my mom yell from her bedroom.
"Shit! You really need to go now!" I said quietly. Then I yelled to my mom, "Nothing mom. I'm sorry for waking you."
"Why?" he asked.
"Please just go!" I said as quietly, yet as sternly as I possibly could.
"What's wrong?" he asked as he saw the fear in my eyes.
"GO!" I yelled as I pointed to the door. Words couldn't describe how frustrated I was at him at that point in time.
"What the fuck is going on?" my mom yelled as she stumbled out of her room. You could tell just by looking at her that she was a heroine addict. She had a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of booze in the other. Her hair was messed up and her eyes were lifeless. She was wearing the same pair of ripped up jeans and baggy t-shirt that she always did. I almost wanted to cry when I saw her.
"I'm sorry mom," I said quietly.
"Get that boy out of my house!" she said in a slurred voice as he she turned around and went back into her room. I could hear her mumbling about how much of a slut I was.
“Please just go,” I whispered.
He just nodded his head and stood up. He left the house quietly, and I could hear him drive away.
