Chapter 6
POV: Jenny
I was pulled from my dream by a rough jerking behind my back. I opened my eyes to find Simon unhooking my wrists from the metal hook in the seat. He did not untie my wrists. I had hoped none of this was real but my worst fears had just been confirmed.
Simon grabbed me by my shoulders and manhandled me out of the car. Pain shot through my numb arms at the rough treatment; causing me to jerk away from his grasp. I felt the hands on my shoulders tighten.
We were at, what appeared to be an abandoned air strip. It was surrounded by trees. It appeared as if no one lived nearby. No one to hear calls for help if I tried. There was a private jet on the landing strip and I was being pulled towards the exit.
“Where are you taking me? Let me go! What have I ever done to you...”I was snapped out of my speech when a hand made contact with my right cheek, causing me to be thrown sideways. I was only prevented from falling by Simon’s hold on my shoulders.
“I thought I told you not to talk!” Nate shouted coldly, his face inches from my own.
I was terrified. My cheek was still stinging from where his hand had made contact. Simon was holding me just above the tarmac now. I struggled to get away. I kicked my legs out, attempting to make contact with anyone nearby and make a run for it. Nate jumped, quickly, out of my range. I caught Simon in the knee and he let go of me in surprise.
I made a dash towards the trees. It was difficult to run with my arms tied behind my back but I was desperate now. At least ten men, including Simon were now running after me, they were gaining. I felt myself thrown to the ground under a large weight. I struggled to get free. I was roughly turned over. Simon was above me. He sat on my legs and held me down by my shoulders. I gazed to my side. Nate was ambling slowly towards me with a malicious grin on his face. I felt my stomach tighten and flip in terror.
Nate finally reached me and kneeled on the ground by my side. He reached into his back pocket and withdrew a syringe. It was filled with a clear liquid. I was terrified. I detest needles.
I screamed and started to squirm harder. Nate placed one hand on my upper arm and drew the syringe towards my arm. Tears were now leaking from my eyes. I didn’t even try to hide them this time; I was too fixated on the needle quickly making its way towards my skin.
I felt a sharp stab in my arm and the metal being driven inwards. I let out a sharp gasp.
Moments later Nate withdrew the needle and handed it to one of his men. “Have a nice nap” he sneered.
Nate motioned to Simon who picked me up, holding me in his arms. I tried to fight him but my movements were slowing. I felt myself being carried towards the jet.
My head was growing groggy and my eyes heavy. They were trying to close on their own but I fought the fatigue. The drug was too strong. It won. They had won. My mind swam as I lost consciousness and was thrust into oblivion.
