I never thought this would happen to me. Being held captive, and living with a vampire. Vampires scare me ever since that day... The day a vampire killed my whole family, but leaving me... It still haunts me to this day. I never knew who did it, but I'd rather not think about it...

"Mommy, why is it that vampires and humans are seperated?" I asked my mommy.

"Because, sweetheart. Otherwise the vampires would keep killing the humans, and there would be no more slaves for the vampires." She said in her sweet soothing voice.

"But why would the vampires kill the humans if they need them as their slaves?" I questioned. Mommy stopped washing the dishes, and looked at me smiling.

"Vampires need the human blood to survive." She stated. My eyes widened.

"Also..." She went on. "If it weren't for humans, there would be no vampires." She said.

"But why do we need vampires?" I asked.

"Because, darling. The vampires are what keep us going. If it weren't for vampires, in this case, then the humans would have no place to stay." She explained.

"But aren't some of the human slaves living in the same house as the vampires?" I kept asking her questions.

"Only certian human slaves." She told me, smiling.

"Why only certian ones, mommy?"

"Because some vampires don't trust their human slaves to live on their own."

"You mean like they did with sissy?" I asked.

"Yes, honey. Just like they do with sissy..." She said, losing her smile.

"Mommy?" I said.

"Yes, dear?" She said, turning back to the dishes she was washing. I hesitated before I asked the question.

"Will sissy ever come back home?" She stopped doing the dishes before answering me. She slowly turned her head my way. I could tell by the look on her face that she didn't know.

"I don't know, sweetie..." She said quietly, turning back towards the dishes, and continue washing them.

~3 months later~

"Get out of here!" My mommy yelled. I stood there, watching as the vampires held her down. I was tense, and couldn't move.

"Quiet, human!" One of the vampires yelled, tightening their grip on my mommy's neck. Mommy screamed in pain. I couldn't help it, and the tears flowed down my face. I was still tense.

"Get the other human!" The vampire that had mommy's neck yelled at the other vampire there.

"Yes, Lord Zako." The other vampire said, his eyes glowing a dark red color. I stood there, frozen in terror. He slowly moved toward me, but then my daddy appeared in front of me.

"Get out of here while you still can!" He yelled.

"But daddy, what about mommy?" I said, shaking.

"I'll do everything I can to save her, but you have to get out of here! NOW!" He yelled to me. I opened my mouth to argue, but ran off instead.

Screams could be heard from outside the place my mommy and daddy were in. It has already been three hours, so I ran back.

I screamed in horror as I saw my family lying on the floor, bleeding. My mommy, my daddy, my sissy, and my brother. All, lying there with pale skin. I walked over to each one of them, and tried to check a pulse that wasn't there. Was this all the work of that one vampire? I asked myself.
