I could feel the warmth of his breath on my cheek,
as our feet continued to move.
Through the horrible mush of ice and snow.
We were walking,
with had no place to go.
The wind picked up as it whipped my hair,
slightly against my face.
I sighed and looked down at my shoes,
that were now a huge disgrace.
A tear fell from my eye,
as we continued at the same pace.
His hand entwined with mine,
as he told me it was all going to be okay.
I shrugged it off and nodded stiffly,
before we made our way.
We got to a small cottage,
in the middle of the nowhere.
Forever we would stay.
