A Cherished Friend's Embrace (Idea)

Poetry By: Carina
Young adult

This is for Mistress of Wordplay's challenge. This is the idea, the other is the reality. I hope you enjoy it. :)

One soul in two bodies
Hand in hand they walk
A balance in the air
Carefree, easy talk
A trust, a bond,
A timeless connection
Strong as gravity's pull
That cannot ever be broken
Simple as the olden days
Beautiful as the flower's bloom
With love as its greatest power
Light where ever there is gloom
A shoulder to cry on
A warm, kind embrace
Laughter to be shared
A wonderful, familiar face
Friends, one's chosen family,
A guide in a world gone cold
What would one do without them?
More precious than the purest gold
