Away With the Rain

Time to forget and move on

Let it rain, wash away our tension
The months of frustration and shared pain.

I remember months spent on contemplation
Worried, thinking about my temptation
Saw the pain in your eyes, the truth between your honeyed lies.
I know your secrets, the way you feel about me
Truth be told, I should just let you be,
But the bond we share is our curse, bewitching the pair of us with guilt and remorse

Let it rain

Delete our quarrels and secretive arguments
I knew about the way you were, it was not hidden from me
I wish things could be different
Back to the way they used to be.

Yet I have no regrets,
I came clean and let you know
Your actions made it clear, revealed your hatred for me
Now I know, it’s time to let you go.

Let it rain, wash away the pain.
I’ve left everything in the past
It’s time for you to do the same.
