A soft glow
comes from the sky
I sit beneath the stars
Wondering why
Just like the night
Is my heart and soul
Torn apart
Never more to be whole
You took my world
Set it spinning
Now I'm a step behind
And you're winning
Your smile makes me scream
Sets me with aches
Cause everything around me
You love to take
Someday you'll see
What I can become
And you'll be the tearful one
Eternally numb
