This poem is going to be published in a book of poems and that makes me really excited. I had to enter a contest in my creative writing class and ended up being one of the students chosen to get their poem published. :)

Just because my brother does it,
Doesn't mean I do.
Just because my sisters have tried that,
Doesn't mean I'll follow suit.
Just because they're my older siblings,
Doesn't mean I'll make the same mistakes.
We aren't the same people,
Stop treating me like I am predestined to screw up like them,
I'm my own person.
