I speak

In monotonous tones

Spoken only by those

Who have lost all faith In life and it's intricacies

I listen

To the cries for mercy

That scream in my head

Saying there's nothing

To live for now

For what is life

Without love and care

It is nothing but a fantasy

Dreary days

Turn to sorrowful nights

As each passing moment

I still live through

Kills me more, Inside

Heartfelt moments

Turn to nightmares

From which one

Can never awaken from

And be assured that it was only a dream

For what is life

Without dreams and goals

It is nothing but a fantasy

I lie

On thorns of steel

Every time I dare to Imagine

How life could have been

If I were gone and dead

I feel

Every negative emotion

\When I find myself

Waking up once more

Not dying in slumber

For what is life

Without pain and sorrow

It is nothing other than a fantasy

You have created in your head
