You smile at me, but it’s not the same
I feel sick at the sound of your name
We were so close, but not any more
And things can’t go back to how they were before
The worry never stops, the tears don’t end
This shattered heart will never mend
You like to hurt, you like to stare
I wonder if you even care
We used to laugh; now you make me cry
You pretend to be innocent; you scheme, you lie
Everyone says I should forgive and forget
But how do I let go when you don’t regret?
Now I’ve learned who you really are
The pain won’t heal, it’ll only scar
