I’m waiting

I’m waiting for you like roses stand still

Waiting for the wind’s kiss

I wonder, will you come

I’m listening

I’m listening to the teardrop teal tears

Fall from the sky and onto my face

Will it take one-thousand years

I wonder, will you come

 

I’m looking

I’m looking around the cold, stone graveyard

Cold and lonely like my heart

Without you

I wonder, will you come

 

I’m feeling

I’m feeling sad as hot tears stream down my face

Sad because you came and left

I feel a warm hand on my shoulder

I turn around and dry my eyes

There you are, smiling at me

 

I look into your eyes and see nothing but grave silence

You lean down to whisper in my ear

I hear you whisper cruel good-byes

My cries get softer in sound until I can not hear them anymore

I feel your hand leave my shoulder

 

I hear you turn around and walk away

Now all I can hear is the tears the sky is crying falling onto the earth

As I sit, I wonder whether we being together was a dream or not

I realize I don’t care

I’d take you back in a heartbeat if I could

 

So now that you’ve left

I’m wondering whether you will stay gone

Or come back again
