I Shouldn't But I Do

Poetry By: Mewgmtm
Young adult

This is a poem I wrote after someone I was dating moved away suddenly. I had no warning, no chance to make the most of our relationship.

It's not as if I like you.
I don't want to spend time with a moron like you.
You broke me.
Cut me.
You left me to die.
Did you want me to die?
I can't even take it.
It's too hard to fake it.
You hurt me, but I love you.
You slit me, but I love you.
Love is not Love without Hate.
It's not you that I hate.
I hate what happened.
I don't know what happened.
You need to come back.
I want to see your face, not your back.
I miss you.
I can't stand you.
I cry when I hear you.
I laugh when I love you.
I don't want this distance.
Separating us is a daunting distance.
It's important you come.
I'd like you to come.
It can't be possible.
It is possible.
I know you moved on.
I know which side you're on.
You never said goodbye.
I need to say goodbye.
