The fatal ending to an abusive relationship...

Thrill me and entice me,
Mold me as you wish,
Confuse me and console me,
When you fill me with anguish.

Seduce me and charm me,
With all your wily ways,
Caress me and love me,
Beneath your haunting gaze.

Use me and empower me,
My mind your ball of clay,
Control me and abuse me,
When I question with dismay.

Beat me and ravish me,
Even when I do no wrong,
Soften me and touch me,
Our end you will prolong.

Without you I am nothing,
That was your belief,
My family watched in horror,
Their eyes painted gray with grief.

By the time I realized,
The truth I could not see,
It was too late; I was nothing,
A shell of the person I used to be.
