In the darkness,

I pull myself along.

Forcing myself to keep going,

As the pain takes over.

Consuming me,

Reminding me of the cripple I am.

As the poison flows through my veins,

I try to find help,

Before it's too late.

The poison is taking it's toll,

And my hearbeat slows.

I fall to my knees,

As my strength fades away.

I am filled with poisoned blood.

I force myself to stand,

As pain shoots through me.

I have to keep going,

Before the poison kills me.

I have to find help,

I have to be saved.

I can't die here.

I finally make it,

And I'm here at your front door.

You open it,

And see me there,

Dying...

You just smirk at me,

And slam the door in my face.

I try to stay standing,

But my poisoned blood,

Gets heavier and heavier.

I collapse as my world starts to go black.

Suddenly you ahve a change of heart.

You open the door,

And take me inside.

You try everything you can,,

But you're too late.

The poison has started to sink in,

It's too late for me to be saved.

I can just barely see your face,

And hear you calling out my name,

Pleading for me to just hang on.

I take your hand in mine,

And smile at you gently.

I know I'm about to die.

I tell you that I love you,

And close my eyes for the last time.

This poison was just too much.

It was just too strong,

And you were too late.

It was my own fault.

I drank the poison on my own,

Not knowing what it would do.

It just took over,

And consumed me.

It was poison in disguise,

But I should have known better.

But it's too late now,

To know what could have been...

Thank you so much. Yup, you pretty much got the picture. Glad you liked it. That's okay, I've been struggling to keep up with reading everyone's work, so I've been stressed out and stuff.

Hi, I Miss You! Perfect drama metaphor..., you can really make me feel sad and tuned. But why not try to write more optimistically for a change? This world is overfilled with tragedy and misery anyway...
