Alive
Somewhere life is full and rich
and no one has regrets,
for someone else the sun is shining,
their feelings are not debts.
But where I am the sky is crying,
and life's passing me by.
I hear you musn't let it slip
and always must hope high.
They say you have to take this life,
and grab it by the neck,
or else in turn it'll slip your grip,
and leave you as a wreck.
I'm feeling one inch tall today,
and my courage is just as small,
if you let life pass you by
are you really alive at all?
