I see you every day outside,
and I smile as you just spend
the day away out in the light,
and I'm glad you're my best friend.
I remember all our fondest days,
I find it hard to comprehend
just how I got just so lucky
to have you as my best friend.
When I'm in need or feeling down,
I know on you I can depend
to cheer me up no matter what,
I can't imagine a better best friend.
I see you every day outside,
and all I can do is pretend,
smile and pretend it doesn't hurt
