Disney Daisy
Dear Dai
Here’s writing to let you know;
You’re a plant composite
Like a diamond rose
With golden petals
It’s the cast of that specula
Whose reflection mirrors
In my heart and life
That shape of love
The lower case of M in graffiti
In red ink and 3D
For the places we used to sit
In the dark and cold
On carpet of concrete
Under the light of moon and star
And you would point to the skies
Descriptive of the beauty of wondrous creation
In language witty and well thought
In tones enrapturing and captivating
How you would walk triumphant
And majestic
Like some queen in her palace
Full of honor and womanly dignity
Recapitulating the past
Challenging the present
And so dissecting the future
With amazing accuracy
Precise eschatological order
And enviable aim
Your plans dreams and ambitions
You’ve got destiny
You remember that day I hope
How you sat down
And gave out a pose
Like a well edited photo
Artistic and scenic
Of high quality and award-winning
That’s given a young writer
A thousand adjectives and billion lines
And so halved his nightmares
You must be gone
That I know
But how too soon
For all the promises I had made
This is all I would write
In the aftermath of it all
The cry of forgotten memories
The sigh of lost friendship
Sincerely, Old pal
