Damn Mirror

Poetry By: poet 3
Young adult

This is supposed to be a poem about how we are to much tuned in on beauty that we forget what else is out there.

stupid mirror,
with your beautiful reflection of me,
how dare you try to make me change,
like the models in the magazines,
you tell me im not pretty,
that my nose is too big
and my eyes are too close,
my mouth is too small
and im too fat,
you tell me to diet
and watch my weight,
damn you mirror,
im only 120,
is that too fat?
he thinks I look great but not you,
damn mirror you just want me to change,
but im me and i'll always be,
i'm not going to listen to my mirror,
but will you?
