There’s something wrong here
Not quite right
Something’s missing
Everything’s fallen apart
The feeling of emptiness
The feeling of sorrow
As I try to suppress
The feeling of death
A sad night for all
A sad morning for those who remember
The life of Mary-Jane
Whose life will always be remembered
A personality hard to forget
A soul which I scarcely met
Strange how it is
Strange how we do not validate
How we do not validate a person the person
When we first person
When we first meet
Till after they are gone
And we wish their soul re-born
So tell me this
If god be so merciful
Why Mary joined him?
Why she is with him and we are alone?
Why he has stolen her from her home?
So tell me this
If god be so merciful
Why did he steal Mary?
Truth be told
We want her back
Back to the place we once sat
In mourning for her
We await the consequences
The consequences of life
And its silly mistakes
Where one does not see an oncoming car
God does and takes it too far
So to the oncoming vehicle
To the oncoming soul
Whose life the devil should have stolen
Now sits in silence while Mary sleeps
On that road up north
Where the hells meet
Where the birds sing and the bees sting
Where the flowers bloom and weeds over loom
Where the trees shower us with leaves and the weather showers us with snow
Where the oncoming car came
And took our Mary so
So now she sleeps
Along with the roots and the newly growing seeds
There the lies Mary
Who will no longer feel the touch of the snow on those hills
For god already had her fate sealed.
