Before I go
You say
Some want to jump
After walking that far
After watching so many rise
Only to descend after they climb
For the wasted lives
You don’t wanna waste your life
Those wings stapled on your back
Aren’t paper; those feathers are golden
Waiting to touch the clouds
They don’t want to be heavy no more
Folded and unfolded and unfolding
Fly like the crows
Words fly out like rain
That could be you that could be me
Falling flying falling into a paper cup
All nothing for John Lennon, the words rose
And broke from those pages
