THE WOMAN IN WHITE

She walks along the lonely moonlit road,

The ghostly woman in white.

She waits until a lonesome vehicle appears,

The dreaded woman in white.

At last, in the distance, the glow of headlights is spotted,

The car snakes to a stop by the woman in white.

"Miss, are you hurt?" the lone man asks.

"Take me home," the woman in white answers.

"Get in the car, and show me the way," the man replies.

The woman in white takes graceful steps, and gets into the car.

She looks straight ahead as the man drives off.

"Where do you live?" the man asks again.

"Down this lane," the woman in white answers.

The man drives into a abandoned farm.

The woman in white looks on in dread, for reasons the man cannot tell.

Suddenly the woman in white asks, "Do you think I'm pretty?"

The man nods, and the woman asks another question.

"Will you kiss me?"

"Hell yes," replies the man, and forces his lips on hers.

The woman in white suddenly stops and breaks the kiss.

Her blue eyes glow with malice.

She grabs the man's left hand revealing a simple gold ring.

"You have been unfaithful," hisses the woman in white.

Screams come from the man's car.

The Newspapers tell the story of the man,

Who was found at an old abandoned farm.

His car stained with his blood,

His heart also missing.

Strangest thing was there was no evidence that someone had been there.

No fingerprints, no hair or skin samples.

Nothing. Like the man was attacked by a ghost.

That was what happened exactly one year ago in New Orleans

Now that one year has passed she returns.

The sinful woman in white.

She walks along the lonely moonlit road,

The ghostly woman in white.

She waits until a lonesome vehicle appears,

The dreaded woman in white.
