How Could This Nightmare Be?

i fall fast asleep with her next to me

i soon dose into a dream that's as great as reality:

we exchange a look, mines an apology

our emotions block everyone out

it's just us in our own world

no one else is here to wallow in our warmth

dazzles in her eyes, the basic caricature of love

our hearts flame i trust her again

days remembered, now making up for lost days

they won't ever go away but i enjoy the time i have

we tumble through a gentle kiss

lips linger for just a moment breathing in lost scents

rays of sunshine reflecting from us

they brush gently off our skin

illuminating her lovely face

for all we know we are the only ones who exsist

no interuptions

no one to steal away the moment

the kiss ends and i look in her eyes

then it goes wrong

like a fate worse than death

she says goodbye and i know it's forever

disappearing into the sun

that lightened her face moments before

i didn't know how it happened

she went so fast

how could this happen

i loved her so much

the feeling could not have lied to me

but the truth sinks in

as she fades into the horizon
