Daddy, what happened?

She wants you,

And she makes you happy.

She convinces you she needs you,

And you believe.

I can't stand back and watch,

And I admit,

I'm jealous.

You said you always wanted a son,

Well there you have him,

He's even called you dad.

I hate it.

Being replaced is something I don't want to do,

Especially by my own father.

Its hurts,

Right here,

In my heart.

I think it's stupid,

And I don't even want to see your face anymore.

My tears don't matter to you,

You just get angrier.

So, I'm stuck.

I can't beg or plead,

You'll just yell.

I'll try to live with it,

It'll only hurt for awhile,

Until I get used to the burning sting.

I'm sorry for being in the way,

I'm sorry for destroying it all.

I just wish we didn't have to change.

Daddy, please,

What happened?
