My favorite song is playing...

It's only pure innocence.

My heart is pumping loud as I search to find your face,

The pattern goes with the bass.

I swallow hard and grab your hand.

You squirm a bit and smile at me when you realize.

Words try to run out of my mouth,

But I lock them away behind a nervous smile.

Innocence..

It's nothing but tonight..

I want you to lead me to the dance floor

And we don't even have to dance...

We could just stare,

But only if you want.

This is no joke,

As we drag each other through the crowd.

Everyone gives me that look,

But I smile and wink.

They know how much I've wanted this moment,

The one where we can notice each other,

Where I can experience your smile

Without being a total creeper.

Just dance with me,

Don't look at the crowd,

Just me.

Don't be nervous,

If you step on my feet,

I'll just laugh.

You know better,

As a friend,

A brother,

A crush.

You owe me one dance...

Just tonight.
