Lost and Alone

I am                                                                                                                      sitting here in class.

The teacher

Lost                                                                                                                      me two pages back

And                                                                                                                                I think I

Alone                                                                                                          do not understanding his lesson.

I                                                                                                                          start think about lunch.

We're having chicken nuggets.

Will                                                                                                                   they be any good today?

Just as

Always                                                                                                        Branden is laughing with Cassie

in the Corner.

How can it

Be                                                                                                        that he loves her so much more than me?

I look down at my paper still

Lost and                                                                                                          Mr. Wilson calls my name.

I look up with absolute terror

and in that moment, I never felt so

Alone.
