Between Life and Death

Poetry By: zadudet1
Young adult

A child has slipped into a coma. She is stuck between life and death. All she wants to do is wake up, but she cannot.

I fell asleep once at dusk
I haven't awoken since
I lust for my eyes to open
So that I can truly live
Lost in a garden of solitude
Citing my happy poetry
And dreaming my dream
Of the day when I awake
