There was something about a lake scenery that made me happy. I liked being by the water, sleeping in a tent and having a bonfire at night. It was the best experience a teenager could have, in my opinion. But this time I knew it'd be special. There was going to be my whole group of friends there, including my secret lover. His name was Tyler. I had liked him since seventh grade. He acted so nice to everyone, his friends, his enemies and the geeks yet he still managed to be cool. He had the best brown hair, it was kinda tossed to the side, he was almost a Justin Bieber look-a-like, only better. I also noticed his cute, half smirk. It made you want to kiss his mouth and never stop

. He's just amazing. Pure gorgeous. "Are you thinking about him again?" Emily asked as I snapped back into reality. I had a white tent in my left hand and a pink polka dot bathing suit in the other. I shook my head. "No." I lied.

I let a giggle escape my lips, hoping it sounded assuring. "How do I look in this?" I whirled around on my heels to see Macy in a Corona bikini. "Hot." Emily commented. "Totally Gorge." I said. She grinned. "I think I'll get it. Do you guys need help with anything?" she looked over to our hands. While mine were full, Emily's were empty. "I'm trying to find the perfect sleeping bags. Jess would know that if she weren't thinking about Tyler." I scowled at her and then looked at the sleeping bag rolls.

"These are fine." I grabbed three pink rolls of the isle. "Let's go!" "Hold your horses lady, finding sleeping bags aren't that easy. You have to make sure that we can fit in them, if they don't give us a generous amount of space then the whole trip will be ruined!" Emily yanked the sleeping bags out my arms and examined the last one. "Haha. Youth sized. For ages 6 to 12." She shook her head before setting it back on the shelf. "Jess, help me find some food for the grill." Macy said.

+++

After finding all the of the right bathing suits, snacks and sleeping bags, we loaded up the car and started down the road. Balcony Springs was an hour and half away and we needed to be the first ones there, considering Emily had created the event.

"Ok. We have the the booze and cups right?" Emily asked me two hours later. I nodded. "In the cooler." "The boys are grilling the food, Samantha is making the bonfire, Melissa is hanging the lanterns..." she went on and on with her party planning. And all I could think about was Tyler

. +++

The sun had disappeared into the clouds before a few people arrived. Slowly and surely the party increased in population. The lake was full of teens dancing to Die Young by Ke$ha and people roasting marshmallows by the bonfire. The lake only populated a few people and some I the guys were tending to the grills. The party seemed to have been a good hit. There wasn't a too little amount of people or too many. And everyone seemed satisfied

. "Hey there." Tyler's voice said behind me. I put a smile on my face and wiped of any messes off before turning around. "Hey Tyler." I flirted. "Emily planned a cool party." he surveyed the area. "I like the scene. And the water looks beautiful." I looked and saw the colorful lanterns reflecting off the dark ocean. I smiled. "Wow. It's pretty!" I said. "Then come on and join me." Tyler ripped off his green shirt reviewing his hairless chest. I bit my lip. He had a sexy body.

We dipped into the warm water. I liked floating around and going under. It made me feel so cool, like I was flying. Once I emerged, Tyler had his half smirk on his face. "You really love the water." I nodded. "I nearly grew up in the water. My mom was a swimmer." I said. Bringing up my mom gave me a little twinge of sadness. "Was?" he asked. "HEY TYLER! FOOD's READY!" a dark shadow-like figure screamed. I thanked him in my head. +++ Thirty minutes later, Tyler and I sat on a picnic blanket. The stars were lit in the sky. It was a perfect moment. "Do you like me?" Tyler asked after I had a moment to look up at the stars. We were sleeping under the stars, partying under the stars. The stars made everything better.

"Wha-What?" Tyler grabbed my earlobes and slowly rubbed them. "Cause. I kinda like you." then, our noses touched. I closed my eyes. He was going to kiss me.
