"Hey!" Krystal called from the top of the bleachers. I looked in her direction to find her waving furiously trying to signal me to come sit by her. I smiled and made my way carefully up the bleachers. (it's one of my worst fears- falling down the bleachers- it just seems painful). I smiled as i approached her before sitting down by her.

"I'm going to go sit by David" i said while snaching some of her popcorn,

"What?! Your going to ditch your BEST FRIEND for your boyfriend!?" she was joking but i knew that some part of it was sincere.

"I thought you weren't coming anyways!" she said rolling her eyes and quoted me, "Highschool football games are lame...what is so entertaining about watching sweaty guys run around in a field chasing after a dumb ball?!"

"Yeah well, i changed my mind..." i said biting my lower lip fighting back a smile.

"You wanted to see David" she said knowingly, she threw some popcorn on me, "Fine. Go..." she said playfully.

"See ya later!" i said before getting up and looking around for my boyfriend.

David and I started going out in the begining of junior year and now we were almost at the end of senior year. We were nominated for "Longest lasting couple." . Five years ago i would have never believed i would be in that position. He was a really sportsy guy he did almost every sport (aside from football, that was his brother's thing) and i was a shy quiet book worm that had nothing better to do than sit around doing homework and burning time on Facebook. But for whatever reason we were togather and i couldn't be more happy with him.

The problem was that he was very chrismatic and he definatly had quite the fanclub. But he always told me how i was the only for him.

I walked up to see David sitting by some girl. She was tall, slim, and had brown hair that almost went to her butt. She looked like a model in her outfit that seemed to have been picked out by the cast of What not to wear (one of my favorite shows.).

He didn't see me so i pulled hair across my face a little bit more (which was easy due to the wind) and snuck up the bleachers behind a large man. I got a seat right behind them and found my staring at one thing....

Their interlocked hands.

At first i wasn't sure what to think at first. We haven't broke up....right? My mind was reeling and i was lost and upset and i didn't know what to do or say. Should i confront him? Act like nothing is wrong?

I took out my phone right as our team scored a goal and dialed his number. I knew that the noise would cover my voice right behind them.

"Hello?" he said into his phone,
I tried to keep my voice even and nonchalant, "Hey babe! Hows the game?"

"Great! We just scored!"

"Awesome!" I said catching myself from saying I know.

"Sorry I didn't want to come...I hate to think of you sitting by yourself!" my voice shook a little but I kept it cool, hungrily awaiting his response,

"Don't worry about me, I'm sitting with Krystal" I didn't say anything for a moment. How could he lie to me? Indirectly to my face?! What else was a lie? How long has he been with her?

"Hailey?" David questioned into the phone.

I said nothing into the phone instead I pushed the end button and said, "Why don't you say it to my face"

David jumped and turned around releasing the model's hand.

"Uh, Hailey…..hi" he looked like a deer caught in the headlights, "I didn't…um….know you were here."

"Yeah, I'm sure you didn't care either. Your hands defiantly weren't cold" I said to him in complete cruel monotone.

I shook my head once before wiping away one tear and getting up to leave.

"Wait Hailey!" David said shooting up from his seat and trying to catch me before I left he tried to grab my arm, instead I turned around on a dime,

"Let me explain" he said but I knew he didn't mean it. He didn't need me. I saw model girl smirking at me.

"I don't need you to explain to me what I can see." I turned to go before turning around once more, "Just remember that what comes around goes around. It goes all the way back around."

I left him like that. Standing their gaping at the cold air. I held my chin high and walked out,

"Just know that someday your going to know first hand how much this hurts." I texted him that before shutting my phone, and simultaneously, closing off my life to him indefinitely.

Five years later

David's point of view:

I exited the club doors with more anger in my heart than the night before. It was the third week that I had spent my nights wasted and sitting alone in a club.

It had also been three weeks since Chanel left me, not giving a thought to me. After 6 years of a dedicated relationship she was willing to drop it all and walk away.

Into another man's arms.

Apparently a man that's arms had been comforting her for awhile. Why did this happen? I thought to myself, who does this to people? How could someone be so cruel?

I walked into my apartment and finally willed myself to put away the engagement ring. I threw it into the back of my closet.

Something fell out of an old box as I did so. I looked down and picked up and white paper with five words written in deep black ink, what goes around comes around, it read. I turned it around to find, to my horror, a picture of my high school girlfriend, Hailey, and I at a restaurant I took her to for her birthday.

I dropped the picture to the ground realizing what had happened.

What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around

Let me paint this picture for you, baby

You spend your nights alone
And he never comes home
And every time you call him
All you get's a busy tone
I heard you found out
That he's doing to you
What you did to me
Ain't that the way it goes

When you cheated girl
My heart bleeded girl
So it goes without saying that you left me feeling hurt
Just a classic case
A scenario
Tale as old as time
Girl you got what you deserved
