A steady beep filled the room. I reached over to press snooze, but instead fell off the bed. “Ahhh!” I exclaimed as my cover came with me. “Stupid bed.” I mumbled and stood up. I threw my comforter back on my bed and went to my closet. I pulled out a pair of tight boot-cut jeans and a black t-shirt with ‘Green Day’ on it. I went into my bathroom, changed and opened the door. I returned back to my mirror and realized my shirt had a HUGE hole in it on the side. “Agghhhh!!” I groaned and stomped to my closet. I pulled out a shirt with ‘Simple Plan’ in big letters and ‘Role Model’ in smaller letters underneath. I pulled it over my head and trudged back to my bathroom. I stood in front of the mirror and put on my black eyeliner and lime-greenish eye shadow, only to realize I had grabbed pink. “Oh my freaking gosh.” I gritted through my teeth as I tried to wipe it off. No response. I gritted my teeth and finished putting it on before putting some lime-green over it, making a dark green color. I cursed quietly, but tried to forget about it. I quickly styled and brushed my short black and blue hair. I slipped on a few bracelets and earrings. “I’ll borrow a necklace from Jess.” I promised myself.
Then, I slipped on my black and lime-green checkered shoes and grabbed my backpack and ran out the door. I ran towards my bus stop, only to realize my homework was on the kitchen table. “Dang it!” I yelled out loud and received a few stares from the other high schoolers. “Hehe…” I said quietly and stood at the back of the line. The bus came and everyone piled on. Being the last person, there was nowhere to sit, so I stood. The bus lurched forwards, making me fall to the floor. I heard a faint rip and stood up. I checked to make sure my pants weren’t ripped. I sighed a sigh of relief and felt my shirt. A tear from my collar to the end of my sleeve was on my right shoulder. My eyes went wide as the middle school kids got off and I flopped into a seat. I took out my tiny, pocket-sized emergency box and shuffled through it. I found a safety pin and tried to fix my shirt. It looked crappy, but it was as good as I could get it. The bus pulled up in front of the school and everyone got off. “It’s gonna be a bad day.” I said as I walked up to the front door.
I felt someone grab my waist and pull me close to them. “Hey, baby.” He whispered. “Hi.” I replied and turned around. “How’s your day been so far?” Matt asked. “Before now, horrible. Now, the greatest.” He grinned and gave me a quick kiss. I smiled up at him and we walked into the school.
