Her voice was caught in the wind and his head whiped around to look at her. Eyes as light as wheat and hair just the right shade to resemble carmel bounced as the girl walked with her friends. She must have been twenty four, maybe younger. She looked like an angle, fallen from heaven. His dark brown eyes watched her closely, his body warming, and shivering at the thought of holding her once again.

He jogged past her and her friends, his pace slowed. He caught some of their conversation. "The dress was nearly one hundred dollars."

"No. That thing? It's not even top of the line!" The girl with silver hair skipped a beat in her steps as she spoke.

The carmel haired girl smiled at her friend and nodded. "Yea, I agree. There's..." And the conversation trailed off as he jogged faster. She was as beautiful as he remembered, nearly more so. He heard her laugh again and paused his stepping. His heart beat wildly as he turned and jogged back. He stopped in front of her and her friends, who looked him up and down, smiling, pleased with what they saw. He only hoped she would be please aswell. "Hello there." She said, smiling in her confused state.

He smiled back at her. "It's Harry, Amber. Remember? We met in the club a few weeks back. I thought I'd reconized you. I had to come back and see if I was right. And apparently I was." He was careful not to trip over his words, the sentences running together with grace.

Amber smiled. "Oh, Harry. Hey...uh...hi. How are you? I didn't know you were a runner. Oh, this is Esmerelda." Amber pointed to the silver hair girl and pointed to the other, the plain one. "This is Crystal. Guys, this is Harry. He's the guy at the club I met and danced with."

"The one you..." Crystal asked, raising her eyebrow. Amber flushed and nodded.

"The very one." She whispered, looking up at Harry. He smiled at her, his white teeth gleaming in the fading light of Autum. Leaves of yellows and oranges circled around them and suddenly Esmerelda and Crystal were forgotten. It was just Amber and Harry, Harry and Amber.

"I'm fine. I have a questions, though." Harry said, his dark eyes trained her wheat eyes.

Her eyes searched his, but neither set gave away anything. "Go ahead, Harry."

He glanced away while he asked, showin ghis shy side, and Amber's heart melted. "Would you go on a date with me. This time in a quieter setting, not loud and noisy like the club." His eyes rose to hers and saw that they were warm. She didn't answer for a time but smiled at him.

When she did, it was simple. "Name the time and day. I'll be there." He smiled back.

Five years later

"I'm glad to have you in my arms, once again."

Amber danced around in her white dress as he husband caught her hips and tilted her back. She smiled into his face and he leaned down to kiss her. The crowd cheered and clapped as he spun her around. "I told you I wouldn't let you regret marrying me, Gem." He whispered. "Amber Gem." He said again and spun her into his arms and kissed her on the mouth again.

"What I would give to take back the words 'Name the time and day. I'll be there.'" They bothed laughed and he grabbed her hips, guiding her into a slow dance that melted her heart. She laided her head on his shoulder and he kissed their hands as he slowly twirled her. "Harry, I love you."

"I love you too.
