Trying hard not to cry

I put up this front

That’s about to crumble

I can tell you know it was your lowest

Felt your regret in the silence

You came crawling back,

But you stained us…

Another saw past the feigned the smile

I pray I forgive you

I know you live for the show

I live for the truth

Felt this weight on my chest

She asked if I was ok, was I ok?

The real me clawed at my heart

To cry at this stain…

You dragged me to this light

This little place of mine

The skeletons in my closet pulled me in

And I was gone, forever

Now this broken heart will never recover. Ever

Now I have to smile when we talk,

I don’t want you to see my hurt

I don’t want you to hurt

Even though you left a stain on my soul
