You know how it is

When you’re trying to find a place of your own

Trying to find a place to call home.

But you can’t.

And no matter what you do,

There’s just no place out there

For somebody like you.

You feel hopeless, fearful, and small

Like nobody, nobody can hear you at all.

But don’t be afraid

For you’re not alone.

And maybe, just maybe,

The reason that no one is there for you

Is so you can

Find your way down the road

That will soon lead you home.

Now, you’re probably thinking

“How can that be?

There is no place

For somebody like me.”

But there is.

Just open your eyes.

And maybe, just maybe,

You’ll come to realise

That though it may seem too good to be true,

There is, in fact, a place for someone like you.
