I looked across the great expanse

Between the me and the other me.

I saw ripples traveling across a pond

Caused by stones of vanity.

My Yin and Yang were not in sync,

Not in balanced as they should be;

For I was not the one that I was,

Nor was I the one that I longed to be.

"What do you say about the state of you?"

Said the other me, while floating in air,

"The opening door will soon be seen

Close your eyes and believe it's there.

Wait for the ripples to leave the pond

And be patient with the way of the world.

Sailing ships becomes one with the wind

When the wind finds the sails unfurled."

So I looked within and I looked without

And consulted the Seers of the ages.

I searched the wisdom from religious books

And digested their many pages.

Such an empty state was felt within.

If I am one, how came the two?,

My light was dimmer than it should be

Leaving that darker shade of true.

Yes, my light was dimmer than it might be

And my dark was lighter in symmetry,

But that empty state had nearly gone;

That disheartened state of vacuity.

So I began a journey across the great expanse

On a bridge I could not see.

Those ripples had faded from the pond,

They faded into Chi.
