The Girl With The Green Door

The old green car turned into the driveway and stopped just in front of me.  The battered car opened its door and a tall dark looking man climbed out.  He was dressed completely in black, with the exception of a grey scarf.  He had a long black cape and a wide brimmed hat.  His black-gloved hand was hovering over his pocket and I could see a slight glimpse of a silver gun.  He walked, hunched over as he neared our bright blue door.  I was scared, it was just me and Mum in the house and we didn’t have a gun.  “Mum” I said questionly, “someone’s here”, no answer.  I looked down the hallway and saw her standing far back from the door with a kitchen knife in her hand.  “Don’t answer the door” she said urgently.  I could detect a slight shakiness in her voice.  I was getting scared.  I ran to my bed and lay on the far wall, hugging teddy.

Then I heard the noise of a knock knock knock on the door.  We both froze in fear, too scared to move.  Then a slam slam slam on the door.  I washed Dad was here.  Then a bang bang bang on the door handle.  The gun shorts so loud my ears had to readjust.  I could smell the smoke from the gun.  Then the door gave way the tall man stepped in standing straight with an angry look on his face.  What would happen next, I did not know.
