I saw a darkness, a depth and a shadow

And this evil stared at me

I realized who it was, and Oh dear God

This black soul, it was mine and black it bleeds

My face shrouded in pain, and so it reveals

The suffering, the agony and the thrills

Forsaken in this veil of doubt

Oh, what do you consider to be hope?

~

My aching essence; is screaming

But I'm a survivor, I'm a fighter

And will overcome and you will see

See the unveiled self I hold inside

~

But in these shadows there's some light

The body of a sinner, can find redemption

Redemption on your lips, on your skin

Salvation in the thickness of your seduction

To salvage my humanity

I seek your embrace, your sincerity

To survive the fall I want your flesh

But first I must muster the strength

~

My aching essence; is screaming

But I'm a survivor, I'm a fighter

And will overcome and you will see

See the unveiled self I hold inside

Discover in me the unrivaled embrace

The embrace of my warmth

You are now my everything, my fate

My heart untold, my finalizing star

From everything I've said, to my actions

You have taken my breath, voracious

And I want more for I am addicted

See these scars your distance has inflicted?

~

See these scars? I have crawled in broken glass

I have crawled through bone, dirt and blood

I have slowly moved yet you are far

But come what may, I still move along

~

My aching essence, is screaming

But I'm a survivor, I'm a fighter

And will overcome and you will see

See the unveiled self I hold inside

~

Control my mind, my heart you already have

Cleanse my sins away, see them wash away

Destroy the nightmares as the spawn

Remind me that my sins and me aren't one in the same

The crisis of these troubles, the heartache

I'm sorry for my lack, I am trying

And I apologize for the inconvenience

The past has left scars deep, but I heal in silence
