This poem is a testament to the love a mother has for her child. I dedicate this to my first born Aisha Glenn. Thank you for restoring me to love and life.

Pain gave way to a miracle

Love at first sight when I saw her

Remembering the first time I held you close

Thankful that I was the one GOD chose

To be your protector, your mother, and your all

I still marvel at how I could have such a big love for something so small

First smiles, first laughs

First time walking you to your class

First words, first dance

I’d relive those moments over and over again if given the chance

My heart still aches at the thought of you in tears

And I will never ever forget any of your fears

I remember them better than I can remember my own

And because you love me I will never feel alone

Because of you I learned a better way

And because of you I try to be better every single day

You gave love a new meaning

And every moment together is like I’m dreaming

Sweetness and good things

And everything about you fills me full of love it seems

And I’d rather be full of you

You are the best thing I could ever do

I’ll end this by just saying I love you

And draw hearts and smiles because I know that you love me too.
