With age the chains of wants and needs
Morph to threads of clearer vision.
Those dreams of youth have mostly melted
And so they went, thoughts of division.
As the seasons were counted, along with loves
Only three were warm to remember
But life has been good, dispite my trying,
So I look kindly towards December.
Now I am content with simpler hopes
And I chuckle at dreams that I once knew.
It seems the broth that I thought burnt
Turned out to be a flavorful stew.
