The Pressure of Change

By: Scarlet Baka

Sometimes, change has to occur for the better good

However, people cannot accept the change like they should

They laugh and rub in your imperfections

You sit in a lonely world of depression

Everyone’s expectations slowly break your walls

Suddenly, you start to feel insignificant and small

The world seems to be closing in on you

You start to believe that dreams really don’t come true

However, change could never get worse

You decide if it’s a blessing or curse

Embrace the new world, and chase your dreams

Love the change for what it seems

No matter what people believe, you’ve always been perfect

Change is just a way to show them you’re worth it

That you really care about them, and they should too

Take the risk, and they’ll come to you
