G U I D E L I N E S ;

. There are only twenty-five photos to choose from, meaning there are only twenty-five spots available. First come, first serve.

. Must be a short story.

. Minimum 1,000 words. Maximum of 3,000 words.

. Has to be newly written.

. Your photo cannot be used for the cover of your story for reasons I will not explain here.

. No happy-endings. Has to be dark. Emotional. Grasping. Can even be gory, and on the side of horror. Tragedy is welcome, too. Just no happy-endings. You will be deducted points.

. Must be written in Third-Person. This'll give some of you a challenge, as I know a lot of writers on Booksie write in First-Person POV.

. Little, to no dialogue. This is an interpretation contest. Detail is what I am looking for. Take the photo you have chosen, interpret it into a beautiful short story using your creativity, and imagination. If dialogue is needed to get your point across, limit it. Less dialogue, more detail, which is another challenge for some of those that prefer writing dialogue.

. There will be First-Fifth place, along with three Honorable Mentions. If I can, I will leave feedback on each piece that is written. Just don't spam me to do so.

. Due date is Sunday, May 29th.

. Any questions? Feel free to ask.
