“I don’t know how to say it.” That was what was echoed. Over and over. In my head. Not leaving.

“I don’t know how to say it.” Then don’t say it! Don’t say anything at all! Allow me peace.

“I don’t know how to say it.” Say it, say it now.  I regret those words. They were harsh and haunting.

Creeping on me then, on me now, and in the future. “I don’t know how to say it.” “I don’t know how to say it.”

Fearing, the “she is ill” speech I covered my ears. Fearing,  the  “Surgery is needed” pitch, I closed my eyes. “I don’t know how to say it.” “I don’t know how to say it.” What is it. How do I prepare. Do I call my bank and write them a check?  Do I beg for a check? Start my prayers? SWITCH RELIGIONS? Answer me, some one answer me! “I don’t know how to say it.” WHAT! SAY WHAT?

The monitors in the room blips and screeches. They push me out the way. The door is locked. I can hear the blipping. Are these the sounds of Death? The tolling of the other world. Long hissing like. Loud and ear breaking. Like the fire alarms of college dorms and fire houses. “I don’t know how to say it.”

Waiting in wait. Worrying in worry. Writhing in pain, shock and desires. “I don’t know how to say it.” Come on! Come on Come on Come on Come on Come on Come on!!! “I don’t know how to say it.”

Say that she is okay. Say that she is fine. SAY IT!

“I don’t know how to say it.” The door opens. The faces neutral. “I don’t know how to say it.”

Did she make? “Hey did she make it?” “I don’t know how to say it.” The doors close and every one goes of to do other things. More rushes and people to tend. Like nothing happen.

“Ya…she made it…”I don’t know how to say it but,  maybe she is having more fun
